Keeps you warm

Definitely keeps the cold out, both in the water and out of it in the wind. Very flexible, easy to get on, does not create restricted motion. Sort of sticky outside surface makes it difficult to get a barefoot suit over it without assistance, but worth the difficulty for the warmth it provides. Back deeps take in water at the ankles filling up the calf, wrapping a velcro strap like a rope keeper around the ankles keeps most of the water out.
